Houston-area schools are adjusting outdoor activities due to an early summer heat surge with temperatures reaching the mid to upper 90s and heat index values between 100 and 105 degrees.

It may not be summer, but with highs in the 80s this week and above-average temperatures next week, it’s time to prioritize hydration.
