Summer is here and with it are “feels like” temperatures climbing well above 100° F.

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas is asking Texans to conserve electricity use, if safe to do so, Thursday from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Due to a high level of unexpected electricity outages and forecasted low wind generation, operating reserves for ERCOT are expected to be low in the afternoon and evening, a news release said.

What exactly is Relative Humidity? I know its the amount of moisture in the air but does 90% humidity really mean the air is 90% water? So 90% relative humidity is the amount of moisture that the air can hold at a given temperature. I was checking the weather in Las Vegas yesterday and the humidity was 2%, air temp 109, dew point 4. Dew Point temperature is an even better way to determine how much moisture is in the air than relative humidity.
