A criminal case involving Liberty County Pct. 3 Commissioner David Shirell Whitmire, who is accused of using his public office to solicit sex and exploit a woman desperate for help with a child custody case, is now in the hands of the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, according to court documents.

Liberty County Commissioner David Whitmire has been indicted on charges of sexual assault, harassment, and solicitation of prostitution, according to newly released court documents.

Sabina Muhammed, a 61-year-old woman from Harris County, has been arrested and charged with stalking and identity fraud for her long-term harassment of a former classmate from the University of Houston.
