Harris County Sheriff's Office confirms the 2019 murder of Liz Barraza remains under investigation as detectives continue to track new leads.

Elizabeth “Liz” Barraza was tragically shot and killed during a garage sale outside her home in January 2019, a crime that remains unsolved.

Family members, Crime Stoppers of Houston, and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Division held a news conference Thursday as they continue to search for the suspected shooter accused of killing Elizabeth Barraza five years ago.

State and federal agencies have now been added to help solve Elizabeth Barraza’s murder case.

It was a shooting that shocked most Houstonians. Not only was it bizarre, but it seemed to be random.

Crime Stoppers and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office held a press conference Tuesday asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspect(s) responsible for the death of a woman who was gunned down in her front yard while setting up for a garage sale three years ago.
