Conroe firefighters successfully rescued a dog stranded on the rocks near Lake Conroe Dam with the aid of the San Jacinto River Authority.

Firefighters did not say how the crash happened but said two vehicles were on fire; one person died and three others were hospitalized—two of them were last said to be in serious condition.

A family is safe after their home was struck by lightning in Conroe, causing it to catch on fire Thursday, officials with the Woodlands Fire Department said.

Conroe firefighters said a vehicle ran into a building Wednesday afternoon.

Two workers were electrically shocked while doing electric work at the Margaritaville Lake Resort near Lake Conroe, Conroe Fire Department said on Thursday.
