A man convicted of raping and killing a woman three decades ago after kidnapping her from a supermarket parking lot has been executed in Florida.

A suspected serial killer once scrutinized for a possible link to the O.J. Simpson case that riveted the nation in the 1990s has been executed for a Florida murder.

Twenty-three men have died by court-ordered execution so far this year in the U.S. Seven other people are scheduled to be put to death in five states during the remainder of 2025.

Florida is continuing its rapid pace of executions this year, with one convicted killer set to die this week and another on June 10 who would be the sixth person put to death by the state in 2025.
