At first glance, one might raise an eyebrow at the concept of turning author Bret Easton Ellis’ 1991 novel, “American Psycho,” into a musical, but somehow, it works.

Houston’s upcoming production of American Psycho (named after the book and movie starring Christian Bale) is the first iteration of the show since its Broadway debut in 2016, and will feature a newly revised script and score.
