Brittany Jeffers

Brittany Jeffers joined KPRC 2 in 2018. She anchors KPRC 2 News weekend mornings and reports during the week.

Brittany is a two-time Emmy Award winning journalist with more than a decade of experience anchoring and reporting in the field.  She has covered extensive breaking news and weather events including tornadoes, hurricanes, wildfires and ice storms.

While in Houston, Brittany has covered a number of high-profile stories including the Astroworld Festival tragedy, George Floyd's Funeral procession,  Uvalde Elementary School shooting, George H.W. Bush's funeral train procession and the World Series. 

Brittany joined KPRC 2 from CBS 11 in Dallas where she worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor. 
 
Before moving to Texas, she worked at FOX23 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she was a main contributing reporter on Emmy award-winning newscasts and Emmy-nominated news specials.
 
In Tulsa, Brittany anchored the weekend evening newscasts and focused on in-depth and daily investigative reporting during the week. She also regularly contributed as a fill-in anchor on morning, noon and weekday evening broadcasts.
 
Brittany also worked as the morning news anchor and as a reporter at KLKN Channel 8 in Lincoln, NE.
 
Originally hailing from the Midwest, Brittany Jeffers graduated from the University of Nebraska Lincoln with a degree in broadcast journalism. While in college, she began her career covering sports with the UNL HuskerVision production staff where the crew shot and edited highlight tapes for athletic teams and coaches shows.
 
Brittany was Miss Nebraska and was a Top 10 finalist in the 2010 Miss America Pageant. She devoted extensive time and volunteering efforts with the Girl Scouts of America and Children’s Miracle Network.

Brittany is a self-professed coffee fanatic and sparkle enthusiast but says her favorite title of all is 'Mama.' 
Brittany says her house is full of 'joyful chaos' chasing after her 4-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son. She and her husband love going on adventures, playing pickleball, soccer, going to the beach and exploring the community with their children and pup "Millie."
