HOUSTON – Texans veteran nickel Jalen Pitre, one of the most active players in the community, gave back to children in his hometown Sunday.
Pitre and his Pitre Boyz Foundation held a big Back to School bash event for BEAR Houston, a nonprofit organization devoted to helping at-risk and Child Protective Services involved children and their caretakers in the greater Houston area.

Pitre provided 300 backpacks in addition to school supplies for the kids.
Over 100 kids were invited for a fun day that included haircuts, food, snow cones, arts and crafts and games.
Pitre and his charitable foundation partnered with BEAR Houston, Shariff Law Firm, Sapphire Smiles, WSS and Wendy’s.
Pitre held a youth football camp at his alma mater, Stafford High School, earlier this summer.
