In the aftermath of the devastating Hill Country Floods, professional sports teams from the Houston area have stepped up to provide charitable contributions to the rescue and recovery efforts.

⚾ Houston Astros

The Houston Astros pledged $1 million via the Astros Foundation for both immediate and long‑term relief, with an emphasis on youth in Central Texas.

🏀 Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets partnered with the Dallas Mavericks, the San Antonio Spurs, the NBA, and the NBPA to donate over $2 million toward immediate and long‑term recovery.

🏈 Houston Texans

The Houston Texans contributed $500,000 directly. Additionally, the team joined with Dallas Cowboys and NFL Foundation in a $1.5 million combined contribution.

Houston Dynamo FC and the Houston Dash are each supporting Kerr County flood relief efforts by accepting charitable donations through their organizational channels.

🎗 Major individual contribution

Legendary Texans edge rusher J.J. Watt and wife, Kealia Ohai Watt, donated $100,000 to a GoFundMe for Kerrville’s Grape Juice restaurant feeding flood victims and first responders.
