HOUSTON – The timing was outstanding for retired Texans star defensive end J.J. Watt and his wife, Kealia Ohai Watt.

The proud parents celebrated the birth of another son one day before Father’s Day.

They named him Niko Benjamin.

“Overcome with joy and gratitude,” J.J. Watt wrote on social media.

The Watt family previously welcomed Koa James, who turns 3 years old in October.

A three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year and Ring of Honor member who is now a CBS NFL analyst, Watt and Kealia Ohai, a former Houston Dash standout, got married in 2020. Koa James was born in 2022.

The Watt’s are minority investors in a professional soccer team: the Burnley Football Club of the Premier League.

Watt, 36. recently visited the Texans at a minicamp practice and made it clear he’s content in his retirement and enjoying post-football life.

“I’ll always think I can, which is a problem, but the last two years, could always say there’s that one percent in the back of my head,” Watt said. “I definitely no longer have that. I’m just comfortable. I’m at peace. We’re having our second baby soon. Life is very good. I’m very fortunate.”

Watt will work alongside Ian Eagle, one of the top play-by-play broadcasters in the NFL.

“Ian’s the best,” Watt said as he transitions from a studio role to calling games in-person at stadiums. “There’s nothing better than when you got Ian Eagle as your partner. Just so smooth, so witty, so smart, so balanced. He will make me look good in any situation. I’m luck to have such a great partner.”
