HOUSTON – The Texans worked out former Cincinnati Bengals running backs Chris Evans and Trayveon Williams on Thursday along with veteran running back Nyheim Hines, per a league source.
A former University of Michigan starter and sixth-round draft pick, Evans played in Cincinnati with Texans Pro Bowl running back Joe Mixon.

Evans has rushed for 89 career yard son 19 carries with 19 catches for 188 yards and three touchdowns. He has also returned kickoffs, averaging 21.1 yards per return in 2022 and 29.0 yards in 2021 as a rookie.
Evans missed last season with a ruptured patellar tendon.
Evans has run the 40-yard dash in 4.51 seconds with a 40 1/2 inch vertical leap.
Evans is a 5-foot-11, 215-pound former Wolverines player who rushed for 1,795 career yards and 15 touchdowns with 49 catches for 479 yards and two scores.
Williams is a former Bengals sixth-round draft pick from Texas A&M. He attended C.E. King High School.
Williams, 27, has rushed for 307 career yards with 15 catches for 74 yards and has 743 kickoff return yards and a 22.5 career average.
At Texas A&M, he was an All-Southeastern Conference and second-team All-American selection. He broke the school records for single-season all-purpose yards and rushing yards with 1,760 rushing yards and 18 touchdown runs. He finished his career with 3,615 rushing yards and 34 touchdowns.
Hines, 28, is a former Indianapolis Colts fourth-round pick from North Carolina State who has missed the past two seasons with a leg injury sustained during a personal watercraft accident.
He spent the 2023 season on the Buffalo Bills’ non-football injury list and last season on the Cleveland Browns’ reserve-non-football injury list. He was released in February.
Hines has rushed for 1,202 career yards and 10 touchdowns with 240 catches for 1,778 yards and eight touchdowns with four returns for scores, two apiece on punts and kickoffs with averages of 11.4 yards per punt return and 25.5 yards per kickoff return.
