Texans draft Penn State safety Jaylen Reed

HOUSTON – The Texans drafted Penn State standout safety Jaylen Reed in the sixth round.

Reed is a 6-foot, 211-pound second-team All-Big Ten Conference selection.

He has run the 40-yard dash in 4.49 seconds with a 1.51 10-yard split and a 33 1/2 inch vertical leap.

Reed intercepted three passes last season and had 98 tackles with three passes defensed and one forced fumble.

Two seasons ago, he had 46 tackles and two interceptions.
