CINCO RANCH, Texas – Cinco Ranch girls basketball star Aniya’ Foy is the KPRC 2 and UTMB Health Athlete of the week. Foy is a versatile guard who is ranked top 50 nationally among girls basketball players for the Class of 2025. Foy has led the Cougars to a 26-6 record and a district title in her senior year.
She prides herself on her versatile game, which she’ll continue in college at Kansas State. Foy’s focus this season has been to get better without the ball and find different ways to make her teammates better.
“I feel like I’ve improved on playing without the ball,” said Foy. “Just because you don’t have the ball, doesn’t mean you can’t create stuff for your teammates.”
“She gets excited for her teammates to succeed,” said head coach LeVar Brown.
