Aggies celebrate big win

HOUSTON – Football fans across the country Saturday watched as the new kids on the Southeastern Conference block took down number one ranked Alabama.

When all was said and done, Texas A&M beat Alabama 29-24.

The story was trending big on Twitter, and engaging many on Facebook.

Fans at the weekly A&M watch party at Pub Fiction in Midtown were thrilled by the win.

"Cannot believe it. We're just ecstatic," a fan said.

"Awesome. That's all I gotta say," another fan said.

For all Aggies past and present, this win was a long time coming.

"It's been a while since A&M's been on top. It's been 12 years. Feels good -- greatest day of my life," said one Aggies fan.

The 15th ranked Aggies went into the game as a a two-touchdown underdog, but came out as top dog.

Led by true freshman quarterback Johnny Manziel, Gig 'Em Nation dethroned the defending champs.

"The fact that A&M won just goes to show that sometimes, things work out the way they're supposed to," a fan said.
