Walker County murder suspect arrested during SWAT operation in Splendora

A Walker County man who was wanted for murder was apprehended and taken into custody in Splendora.
Roberto Santos Portillo, 45, was arrested Wednesday near the 14600 block of Half Circle.

Portillo was wanted for a murder charge out of Walker County. He was apprehended by officials with Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
SWAT officials and members of the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force also assisted with the investigation.
