Police ask for help identifying woman caught on camera stealing jewelry from elderly woman in Pearland living facility

Authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying a woman caught on camera stealing from an elderly resident at a Pearland assisted living facility.

According to Pearland Police Department, officers responded to a theft report on the evening of Oct. 25 after the victim, a 95-year-old woman, discovered her jewelry had been stolen from her room while she was at dinner.

Surveillance footage showed a woman wearing dark-colored scrubs entering the victim’s room around 4:31 p.m. and leaving shortly after.

The stolen jewelry had an estimated value of about $500.

Police shared the video on social media and confirmed in the comments that the suspect is not an employee of the facility.
