State Rep. Jolanda Jones announced she will file for reelection in House District 147 following her campaign for Congress in the special election for CD18.
PAST: Jolanda Jones says her campaign for Houston’s 18th District is personal
In a statement, Jones thanked voters, volunteers, donors and her family for their support during her congressional campaign.
I want to thank the voters, my volunteers and donors, my campaign team – and most of all my family – for their incredible support during my campaign for Congress.
Congratulations to Amanda Edwards and Christian Menefee for making the runoff.
I will be filing for reelection for State Representative for House District 147. I delayed my campaign for Congress so I could continue fighting for my constituents, both during the quorum break and then after for the balance of the legislative session.
That fight continues. I am more motivated than ever to protect my constituents from Greg Abbott and Donald Trump and make our state government work for the people it is supposed to serve.
Respectfully, Jolanda Jones
