HOUSTON – Police say a man is dead after an argument erupted in gunfire in the Acres Homes area of Houston overnight.
It happened around 3 a.m. in the 800 block of Lucky Street.
Officers with the Houston Police Department responded to the scene and found a man on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. They provided first aid, including CPR and applying chest seals, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said the man was the ex-boyfriend of the woman who lived at the house. He had gone over to her house where she was with another male friend.
At some point, there was an argument between the woman’s ex-boyfriend and the other male friend, at which time, the second man pulled out a gun and shot the ex-boyfriend.
The motive and circumstances behind the shooting remains unclear.
