The Rustic is preparing to move to a new home in downtown Houston. The restaurant and live music venue will relocate from 1836 Polk St. to 1718 Jackson St., adjacent to the newly expanded George R. Brown Convention Center and just steps from the Toyota Center.
The move comes as part of a nearby construction project that will impact the restaurant’s current site. The existing location will close at the end of 2025, and the new venue is expected to open in winter 2026.
The new Rustic will continue to feature its signature mix of food, drinks, and live music, while offering new amenities like expanded on-site parking and a dedicated rideshare pick-up and drop-off area for easier guest access.
“This is a temporary pause with a purpose,” said Josh Sepkowitz, co-owner and CEO of The Rustic. “Downtown Houston has been an incredible home for The Rustic, and we’re eager to continue our story in a way that builds on what our guests already love. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in 2026.”
