A large fire broke out Sunday at a tire shop near Spring Cypress and I-45, sending thick smoke into the air as firefighters worked to contain the flames.
The fire broke out between I-45 and Lexington Boulevard. Spring Fire Department crews, along with mutual aid from South Montgomery County and The Woodlands, were able to put out the flames shortly after 2:30 p.m. Officials said several nearby vehicles also caught fire.
Investigators from the Fire Marshal’s Office are on scene to determine what caused the blaze.
In a post on social media, the Spring Fire Department reminded residents to remain cautious amid ongoing dry conditions, noting that even a small spark can quickly lead to a large fire.
