As drought conditions creep back into Southeast Texas, fire danger is also increasing, prompting multiple counties in the area to issue burn bans.
On Monday, both Fort Bend and Montgomery Counties issued burn bans.

Fort Bend County’s burn ban applies to unincorporated areas of the county.
In Montgomery County, Judge Mark Keough also issued a disaster declaration along with the ban, citing worsening drought conditions and the elevated fire risk. The burn ban goes into effect for the county starting Tuesday.
The burn bans are until further notice.
