Bad Bunny’s only U.S. performance in 2026 could face immigration enforcement at the Super Bowl halftime show, according to a political insider.

Donald Trump’s former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski says immigration agents will be at the 2026 Super Bowl, where Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny is scheduled to headline the Apple Music Halftime Show.

Speaking on The Benny Show interview series, Lewandowski said, “There is nowhere you can provide safe haven to people who are in this country illegally. Not the Super Bowl and nowhere else. We will find you, we will apprehend you, we will put you in a detention facility and deport you.”He added, “If there are illegal aliens, I don’t care if it’s a concert for Johnny Smith or Bad Bunny or anybody else … We are going to do enforcement everywhere. That is a directive from the president.”

The Super Bowl appearance is the only U.S. performance currently on Bad Bunny’s schedule for 2026. His Debí Tirar Más Fotos world tour runs from December through July with dates in Latin America and Europe, but no U.S. stops.Bad Bunny has previously said concerns about immigration enforcement influenced that decision. In an interview with I-D Magazine, he explained that ICE outside his concerts was something he and his team were seriously worried about.

Lewandowski also criticized the NFL’s choice of Bad Bunny for the Halftime Show, saying, “It’s so shameful they’ve decided to pick somebody who seems to hate America so much to represent them.”

The Puerto Rican artist has said past U.S. shows have been successful and gave him the chance to connect with Latino audiences. He explained that by focusing on Puerto Rico and international dates, U.S. fans would still have the opportunity to travel to see him perform without the risks he associated with U.S. venues.

The NFL, Apple Music, and Bad Bunny’s representatives have not responded to Lewandowski’s remarks.
