Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that unfolded in north Harris County.
Deputies with Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office responded to reports of gunfire in the 22900 block of Birnam Wood Boulevard.

When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency medical crews confirmed the man had died at the scene.
Investigators said a possible suspect, the man’s wife, has been detained as the case remains under active investigation.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the shooting was the result of an altercation between the couple.
