WALLER COUNTY, Texas – Nearly two years after Prairie View police began investigating the death of a three-month-old infant, authorities have arrested a man in connection to the case.
The Waller County Sheriff’s Office said Prairie View police began their investigation on Dec. 19, 2023.

Not many details about the incident have been released, but authorities say the infant sustained fatal injuries during an incident.
The Texas Department of Public Safety and the Waller County Sheriff’s Office assisted Prairie View police with an investigation into the infant’s death.
On Tuesday, Shawn Washington was arrested in connection to the infant’s death.
He is charged with murder and injury to a child.
No other details have been released at this time.
