Deputies release sketch of man wanted in child sexual assault involving a gun in north Harris County

A witness may have saved a child’s life in north Harris County by intervening during an armed sexual assault, but the suspect remains at large.

Investigators said the assault happened on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, in the 16700 block of Ella Boulevard. The victim was walking in the area when the suspect pulled out a firearm and ordered the child to approach him.

According to deputies, the suspect then touched the child inappropriately. A witness saw what was happening, intervened, and scared the suspect away. The man was last seen heading northbound on Rolling Creek Drive.

The suspect is described as a skinny man, standing 6’0” to 6’2” tall, with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a red tank-top style shirt resembling a basketball jersey.

Authorities said tips could be vital in helping to identify and arrest the suspect.
