All EB lanes shut down on North Loop after chase ends in arrests, nails scattered on roadway

All eastbound lanes of the North Loop at Gellhorn are closed Wednesday afternoon due to police activity involving an armed robbery suspect, according to Harris County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Terry Garza.

Authorities said the suspects were in a stolen vehicle. The Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed two people were taken into custody.

Deputies warned drivers that nails were found scattered on the roadway in the area. DPS and HCSO units remain on scene.
