A 12-year-old was hospitalized after being shot in the Spring Branch area.
The shooting happened shortly before 4:30 p.m. in the 7600 block of Hammerly Boulevard at Jacelyn Drive.
KPRC 2 reporter Jaewon Jung is at the scene. She learned that a gold four-door sedan was believed to be used in the drive-by shooting.
Armed with a semiautomatic pistol, the driver shot through an apartment complex as it drove by.
The 12-year-old victim was shot in the arm. She was taken to a nearby hospital and is reportedly conscious but in shock.
Authorities do not have a description of the suspect and believe multiple people could have been in the sedan. They are looking into surveillance footage from the area.
