Teen dies after being shot in chest during argument outside southwest Houston gas station

HOUSTON – A teenager is dead after being shot during an argument outside of a gas station in southwest Houston, police said.

Houston police responded to reports of a shooting at a gas station located on North Braeswood at Chimney Rock around 7:30 p.m. Friday.

According to Houston police, two groups met at the Circle K, and words were exchanged before someone pulled out a gun, shooting a boy, believed to be between 15 and 17 years old, in the chest.

The teen was transported to the hospital but later died.

It’s not clear why the two groups were arguing, but Houston police said they have multiple witnesses detained and are investigating to learn more about the shooter.
