ATASCOCITA, Texas – Authorities are looking into what led up to a deadly crash involving a motorcycle early Friday morning in east Harris County.
Details are limited, as it’s an active investigation, but the Atascocita Fire Department first reported the crash, saying it happened on FM 1960’s westbound lanes near Pine Echo Drive.

The case was later turned over to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, with Sheriff Ed Gonzalez noting a truck and a motorcycle were involved in the accident. One man in the accident died at the scene, while a woman was airlifted to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

The roadway near Pine Echo Drive was shut down while crews investigated, and traffic was being diverted to use Atascocita Shore and Pinehurst.
