Feds to announce ‘largest law enforcement bust of precursor chemicals’ in Houston area

Federal authorities are set to announce what they’re calling “the largest law enforcement bust of precursor chemicals bound for a foreign terrorist organization” during a news conference on Wednesday morning.

The briefing is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Sept. 3 at CES Custom Goods in Pasadena.

Multiple officials from various law enforcement agencies are expected to speak at the conference, including U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro, ICE Acting Director Todd Lyons, and representatives from the FBI, Border Patrol, Homeland Security, and the DEA in Houston.

Authorities have not yet released additional details about the operation, but say more will be revealed during the announcement.
