It happened around 9:30 p.m. at an apartment on Martin Luther King Boulevard near Hwy 90 and Macgregor Park.
Houston police and firefighters were called to reports of shots fired and found two men with gunshot wounds near the pool area. Investigators said a large group of people had gathered at the pool, both inside and outside the complex, when the gunfire erupted.

HPD Lt. Willkens said the crowd became “unruly,” prompting a call for additional reinforcements.
