The NWS confirmed spotting the waterspouts around 1 p.m.
Officials tell KPRC 2’s Gage Goulding they’ve had a few waterspouts reported off the coast of Galveston and Bolivar; they are “very weak in nature,” but very photogenic.
LIVE RADAR: Severe thunderstorms, heavy rain, and a drop in temperatures expected Labor Day weekend
One of the waterspouts is reported to have moved on land somewhere (not sure where), but it wouldn’t have done damage.
The most damage this would’ve done is blow over a trash can, NWS explained.
We saw a report that one came on to the beach and knocked over some tents and a trash can.

Due to their sporadic nature, the waterspouts continue popping up. However, there are no signs of rotation or strong winds.
