A man who was arrested last week for copper theft has been taken into custody again after deputies found him with more stolen property during a traffic stop.

On Aug. 25, deputies with Harris County Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office stopped a truck on the 16700 block of Huffmeister Road that matched the description of one linked to recent copper thefts.

Inside the vehicle, they discovered bundles of copper believed to be stolen, along with a stolen credit card.

The driver was identified as Kyle Henderson. He was arrested for credit card abuse and booked into the Harris County Jail.

Investigators say Henderson is currently out on a $15,000 bond following his arrest for copper theft on Aug. 19, less than a week before this most recent arrest.

“Henderson is believed to be involved with numerous copper thefts in the area,” Constable Herman said.

If you have any additional information regarding these copper thefts, you are asked to contact our dispatch or your local law enforcement.

Deputies are continuing their investigation to determine the origin of the copper and whether additional charges will be filed.

Henderson is awaiting bond out of the 178th District Court.
