TEXAS CITY, Texas – Authorities in Galveston County have arrested a 20-year-old Texas City man after an investigation revealed child pornography on the man’s phone.

20-year-old Chase Busby is charged with possession of child pornography more than 100 less than 500 visual depictions, possession with intent to promote child pornography, and possession or promotion of lewd visual material depicting a child. His bond has been set at $180,000.
The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation began after they received a tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
On Aug. 19, investigators executed a search warrant at the Windsor Estates Apartments located at 2801 FM 2004 Rd. During the investigation, they seized a cell phone and narcotics from the residence. Further examination of the electronic device revealed evidence of child pornography.
Authorities say charges for the narcotics are pending.
