After a months-long investigation, a Galveston man was taken into custody and charged with crimes related to possession of illegal drugs and weapons.
Working alongside special operations personnel, the Galveston Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1100 block of Avenue M.

Investigators found quantities of Xanax and promethazine, along with three handguns.
The suspect, identified as Galveston resident John Roberson, 43, was taken into custody without incident. He faces multiple drug-related charges, and his bond is set at $350,000.
The investigation focused on the illegal sale of prescription medication in the community, police said.
“This operation underscores our continued commitment to combating illegal drug activity in Galveston,” Police Chief Doug Balli said.
