ROSENBERG, Texas – One of the oldest buildings located in downtown Rosenberg caught fire on Monday morning.
Vogelsang Building, located in the 1900 block of Avenue G in Historic Downtown Rosenberg, caught fire around 7 a.m.

Officials stated that the structure of the building, which was constructed in 1910, sustained significant damage.

The Rosenberg Fire Marshal believes the fire started in the roof/attic area and may be related to a mechanical failure.
Multiple agencies responded to assist the Rosenberg Fire Department, including: Beasley, Community, ESD 48, Fort Bend County EMS, Fulshear-Simonton, Katy, Missouri City, Needville, Pearland, Richmond, Stafford, Sugar Land, Westlake and Willowfork, along with the Rosenberg Police Department.
No injuries have been reported.

- The Agatha Mystery Theater / Creative Learning Society
