Starting Aug. 12, and running through June 4, 2026, the program operates Monday through Friday, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., at two locations:
- Fonteno Senior Education Center, 6600 Bissonnet Street, Houston
- Glazier Senior Education Center, 16600 Pine Forest Lane, Houston (Waitlist)
Open to all students on a first-come, first-served basis, the program offers STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) projects, sports, and team activities designed to foster academic growth, creativity, and confidence.
Commissioner Briones, a former teacher and daughter of educators, says this initiative reflects her lifelong commitment to education. “I care deeply about ensuring every child has the tools, opportunities, and safe spaces they need to thrive,” she said.

This program is part of a broader effort by Precinct 4, which recently built 50 miles of sidewalks to connect children to schools and bus stops, hosted vaccination events, offered summer programs, and distributed school supplies to thousands of families.
“To every student, parent, and educator: we are here to support you,” Briones said. She is proud to be launching this program to help make that support a reality.
