A man riding his bike to work was fatally stabbed during a violent early morning Thursday attack on Houston’s east side, police said.
Emergency crews responded just before 6 a.m. to 123 N. Drennan Street. Initial reports suggested the man may have been hit by a vehicle, but police later confirmed he was stabbed on a nearby biking trail.
Investigators said the man was on his way to work when someone attacked him. Despite his injuries, he managed to ride to his job just down the street and told his coworkers what happened. They immediately called 911.
First responders met the man outside The Spencer Company at 123 N. Drennan Street and transported him to the hospital, where he later died.
No arrests have been made, and no suspect description or a possible motive has been released.
