GALVESTON, Texas – Deputies with the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office are trying to piece together how an argument led up to a deadly shooting at a convenience store in Bacliff on Tuesday morning.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. at the Meera Mexican Food Mart on Grand Avenue when Chief Deputy Valencia Villarreal said two customers were arguing inside the store.
It’s unclear what the argument was about, but as things became more heated, deputies said one of the men pulled out a gun and shot the other, killing him.

None of the customers in the store, nor any employees, were injured, and officials arrested the shooter, but have not detailed what charges he is facing, as of this writing.
