‘Power of 7′: The Women’s Resource of Greater Houston event aims to help women achieve financial independence

HOUSTON – This Saturday, the C.J. Stroud Foundation, The Women’s Resource of Greater Houston, and the TDECU Cares Foundation will come together to host on an event which aims to help women achieve financial independence.

The “Power of 7″ event will take place at NRG Park from 9:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. KPRC 2’s Daniella Guzman will be the emcee.

The event’s theme is “Celebrating Women Driven by Determination.”

This is the first year for the conference, but organizers say they hope to make it an annual event.

The Women’s Resource of Greater Houston has been helping women across the Houston area for years in areas of financial independence. They offer both financial and career coaching that helps women learn how to manage their money better and gain control of their finances and their future.

Along with coaching, they offer finance classes led by trained volunteers. Their 6-class series offers strategies to help women move towards their financial goals.
