Massive water main leak reported in Spring Branch, Houston Public Works responding

HOUSTON – A massive water main leak was reported at around noon on Wednesday in Spring Branch.
KPRC 2’s Bryce Newberry confirmed with Houston Public Works that the leak was reported on Blalock and West Wingfoot Road.
Our Sky 2 Chopper was over the scene of the incident, as crews worked to stifle the flowing water and prevent damage to the area.
Crews responding to the scene (KPRC 2) The leak finally stopped shortly after 1 p.m. when the water was shut off.
Houston Public Works said they are working to repair the damaged line.
The official cause of the leak has not been announced at the time. KPRC 2 has reached out to CenterPoint Energy, because they had a crew at the scene.
