Jewelry robbers accused of macing employee during smash and grab at HEB in League City

LEAGUE CITY, Texas – Authorities are looking for three men accused of burglarizing a jewelry repair store inside a League City HEB.

It happened on Monday, a little after 5 p.m., when League City PD said three men wearing hoodies, facemasks, and surgical gloves went inside the HEB on South Gulf Freeway.

The trio made their way directly into a jewelry repair and sales shop inside the store, where police said one of them pepper-sprayed an employee while the others broke display cases and stole jewelry and watches.

Investigators said they fled in an SUV waiting outside the store and got away before police arrived. A report from League City PD said it all happened in under five minutes.

At last check, all three remain on the run. Tuesday afternoon, League City PD provided images of the suspects from surveillance footage.
