Researchers at WalletHub looked at all 50 states to find which state had the worst healthcare in the U.S. by comparing data ranging from cost, accessibility, and outcomes.

The results led WalletHub to rank Texas 47th overall. Just months ago, the company said the Lone Star State was the second-worst state for Children’s Health Care.

Texas was also said to have the highest percentage of at-risk adults with no routine doctor (or dental) visit in the past two years.

“Health care has two crucial components, cost and quality. The best health care in the nation isn’t helpful if it bankrupts the people who try to get it, and cheap health care isn’t worth paying for if it provides subpar or ineffective treatment. Therefore, the best states for health care are those that make high-quality care affordable, on top of providing many options for doctors and making insurance easily accessible.”

Mississippi, meanwhile, was ranked the very worst in health care, while New Hampshire was listed as having the very best health care system.
