Data company Astronomer is continuing to make headlines by hiring actress and movie star Gwyneth Paltrow as its “temporary spokesperson,” to (kind of, but not really) answer questions about its viral “kiss cam” video.

Back in mid-July, Astronomer’s CEO and the chief people officer (head of human resources) were caught on a jumbotron video during a Coldplay concert in Massachusetts.
Later identified as Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot, the couple was seen hugging and smiling until they realized they were on camera and quickly hid their face. Coldplay’s lead singer and Paltrow’s ex-husband, Chris Martin, joked, "Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy."
The company has said little about the incident, but on Friday, Paltrow was featured on their social media as a spokesperson, “on a very temporary basis,” starting with addressing some of the more common questions.
“Astronomer has gotten a lot of questions over the last few days, and they wanted me to answer the most common ones,” she said in the 60-second video.

The first question (in black-and-white text) was quickly cut off, starting with “OMG! What the actual f-” with Paltrow saying, “Yes! Astronomer is the best place to run Apache Airflow.”
The second (and final) question had a similar response, with a sort of “back-to-business” feel for it.
“We will now be returning to what we do best,” Paltrow noted.

In other words, the company seems ready to put the scandal behind them and focus on what Astronomer was intended to be known for: data workflow automation and helping companies develop, grow, and analyze products using artificial intelligence.
“Thank you for your interest in Astronomer,” Paltrow concluded.
