Following a 13-2 victory over Texas West in the Southwest Regional Final in Albuquerque on Wednesday, the team is set to head to the Junior League Baseball World Series tournament in Taylor, Michigan.
The team is coached by Andy McRae, the same coach that took Needville to Williamsport back in 2023. We are told nine players who were at Williamsport remain with the team while three are new additions.
In 2023, Needville defeated three teams during their run in the Little League World Series, including Media, PA, Fargo, ND, and Seattle, WA. While a 6-1 loss to El Segundo, CA, and a loss to Chinese-Taipei ended the team’s championship run, they still walked away finishing in fourth place in the entire world and second place in the nation.
The Junior League Baseball World Series tournament will take place from Aug. 3-10.
