Typhoon Texas hosts FREE ‘Quiet Waters’ morning for sensory-sensitive children on Friday

KATY, TX – Families with sensory-sensitive children are invited to enjoy a calm and supportive morning at Typhoon Texas in Katy during the waterpark’s upcoming free “Quiet Waters” event, a special experience that features no music, spray features, or large crowds, allowing families to enjoy the park at a more relaxed pace.

In honor of National Challenged Champions and Heroes Awareness Day, the event is designed to create a low-stimulation environment tailored for children with autism spectrum disorders, sensory sensitivities, or other special needs.

Event Details

  • What: “Quiet Waters” sensory-friendly morning
  • When: Friday, July 25, 2025 | 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
  • Where: Typhoon Texas – 555 Katy Fort Bend Rd, Katy, TX 77494
  • Cost: Free admission for each honored child and one chaperone. Additional guests are $10 each at the entrance.

“Quiet Waters reflects our ongoing commitment to inclusion and accessibility by offering guests of all abilities the opportunity to experience the fun of Typhoon Texas in a supportive setting,” said John Pham, marketing director for Typhoon Texas.

Typhoon Texas advises that space is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Families are encouraged to arrive early.
