WILLIS, Texas – A Willis man is facing serious charges after investigators found evidence of sexual exploitation against a missing 15-year-old as well as child porn at a home.
Gabriel Cortinas, 25, is charged with sexual assault of a child and possession of child pornography. The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be forthcoming.

The Montgomery County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office says they received information on the 15-year-old who ran away from home. The teen is believed to be a potential victim of a cyber-related crime.
Multiple agencies worked together and were able to locate and recover the teenager in east Montgomery County. Evidence of exploitation was discovered during her recovery, which led law enforcement to a home in Willis.
A search warrant was issued, and authorities recovered more evidence at the home.
“These types of investigations are extremely difficult but critically important,” said Constable Rowdy Hayden. “The recovery of this young victim and the arrest of a dangerous offender is a direct result of multiple agencies coming together to protect our children. We will continue to pursue those who seek to harm them, no matter where they try to hide.”
