Man charged with murder for shooting in SE Houston parking lot

A man has been charged in connection with a fatal shooting in the parking lot of a southeast Houston shopping center.

The shooting happened in the early morning hours of Saturday, July 12, at a shopping center in the 3800 block of South Gessner Road.

HPD officers responded to the scene and found Emiliano Quirino, 21, unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect was identified as Isaac Biais, 21. He was arrested in July 17 and charged with murder.

Authorities believe Quirino was in the parking lot with others. An altercation ensued, and investigators believe it escalated to Biais shooting Quirino, before fleeing the scene in an unknown car.

Biais has been booked into Harris County Jail.
