During the incident, Alvarado Police responded to a report of a suspicious person who appeared to be carrying a gun outside the center. When the first officer arrived, he attempted to talk to the person, but multiple suspects opened fire on him, striking him in the neck.
He was flown to a Fort Worth hospital where he was treated and released.
Following the shooting, the suspects attempted to flee, but several of the armed suspects were caught by Alvarado Police and Johnson County deputies. The 10 suspects caught are all facing local charges of terrorism, aggravated assault on a public servant with a deadly weapon, or aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against a peace officer.
Last Wednesday, a Blue Alert was issued for Song and the FBI announced a $25,000 reward for information leading to his arrest and conviction.
